Join the Unity of Springfield Family

Unity of Springfield offers a spiritual home—our mission is to encourage and inspire spiritual and personal growth by empowering each other to be all that we came here to be. If you feel called to join our congregation officially, we welcome you with open arms and hearts.

Membership Qualifications

To maintain the integrity and harmony of our community, we have a few guidelines for new members:

  1. Attendance: Unless you are transferring your membership from another Unity church, you must have attended Unity of Springfield for at least six months. This period allows you to understand our practices, beliefs, and community life.

  2. Orientation Class: All prospective members must attend an orientation class. This class provides an overview of Unity's history, beliefs, and governance, as well as an introduction to our community and ministries.

How to Apply

Ready to join our spiritual family? Here's how:

  1. Complete an application: Submit your application online or download the membership form, fill it out, and return it to the church office for processing.

  2. Attend an Orientation: Membership orientation takes place once a year. You can sign up to our newsletter or contact the church to find out when we have our new member orientation class.

Our Five Basic Principles are:

1. God is the Source and Creator of all. There is no other enduring power. God is good and ever present.
2. We are spiritual beings created in God’s image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore, all people are inherently good.
3. We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
4. There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our awareness of God.
5. Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them.
