In consideration for the undersigned being permitted to participate in the Earth Day 5K (the “Event”), I acknowledge and agree that I am fully aware of the risks and hazards of participating in the Event and hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Unity of Springfield, City of Springfield, Greene County or any Event sponsor or donor (collectively, the “Released Parties”) and any of the Released Parties’ owners, officers, directors, volunteers, agents or employees (hereinafter the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the undersigned (collectively, “Loss”), arising out of or related to the undersigned’s participation in the Event REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES OR THE RELEASEES, or otherwise, and regardless of whether such liability arises in tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law. Furthermore, I hereby grant the Released Parties the right to use photos, video or audio recordings of me for media and publicity purposes.
