Craft 100 mats in 100 days to aid the homeless population.

About the Event

Put your crafting skills to good use and join our wonderful community of volunteers as we aim to create 100 mats in 100 days!

These mats are made from upcycled plastic bags and provide comfort and utility to those who lack stable shelter.

No Experience? No Problem!

We welcome crafters of all skill levels!

Our talented team will guide you in making "plarn" — yarn made from plastic bags — as well as weaving these into useful mats.

How to Contribute

  1. Attend Crafting Sessions: Join us every Thursday and Saturday to craft mats.

  2. Donate Plastic Bags: Don't have time to craft? Drop off your plastic bags at Unity of Springfield during our operating hours.

  3. Join Our Online Community: Follow updates, share tips, and be part of our crafting family on Facebook: Crafting Mats for the Unsheltered

Your crafting skills can make a world of difference in someone's life. See you at Unity of Springfield!
