Reflections from the Board

Hello all,
Well, we are ready to start another year! We on the Board had a full 2011 and look forward to an exciting and wonderful year guided by our goals, mission statement and spiritual beliefs. We are excited to bring on Jim Kaatz, with his business knowledge, to the Board. Cindy Clifford was hired to work in the office and we know she will be a perfect fit. Thank you M’lissa for being there for all of us and for always doing everything with your .A. game.
The Board has approved the new carpet in the children’s classroom that will be paid for with the Spa Day and Silent Auction fundraisers. The rest of the carpet will be cleaned. We also approved the budget for 2012. We made some cuts where we could and added where we needed it, following the guidelines of our strategic plan. Education and our youth are two important areas that need our attention this year. We hope everyone realizes how blessed we are to have a church community that feeds our spiritual and social needs. As Harry has said, $1 extra per person each week would go a long way towards the support this ministry needs to fulfill its mission, within both our congregation and our community.
Thank you for all the confidence you have placed in the Board this year. Everyone has been wonderful through the changes and upgrades. Always remember, we strive to do things in the church’s and congregation’s best interests. As usual, always feel free to contact us with ideas, thoughts and concerns.
