Administrative Staff

Dee Richardson, Administrator

Dee knows that she is living her “purpose.” As Administrative Assistant to the Senior Minister at Unity Church of Overland Park, KS, and Licensed Unity Teacher (since 1996), serving in Branson, MO, Dee's experiences prepared her well for her current position as Administrator of Unity of Springfield.
Dee enjoys doing a Sunday lesson now and then, teaching Unity classes, and using her skills in organization to effectively manage the day-to-day affairs of the church. Her hobby is stamping to create greeting cards, which she gifts to the church to send to congregants. Dee recently began tap-dancing classes after a 50-year hiatus.
Dee has four grown children, three in Springfield, and one in Chicago. All six of her grandchildren are here in Springfield. Her dog, Hazel, a Sheltie/Poodle mix, occasionally accompanies her to work.

Michelle Johnson, F/T Administrative Assistant

Michelle is an avid learner of all things. She has been mainly self-taught, and is learning as much as possible while in the environment of Unity. As a mother of one and grandmother of 2, she realizes the value of family and church. She has worked in numerous positions and varied fields which has allowed her to glean a diverse knowing of the world and workplace. She enjoys working as part of a team, and has brought several valuable ideas to Unity.

Michelle loves to read, paint, relax, and play with her grandkids.

Cheryl Willis, P/T Administrative Assistant

Cheryl is the oldest of three children. She lived on a dairy farm as a small child, and loved every opportunity to socialize. Cheryl would walk a half mile to her childless neighbor's house for a weekly visit. She only attended grade school and high school in Buffalo, MO, just to see her friends. Academics were a necessary evil.

Cheryl has always been a "people" person. She thought she wanted a glamorous career as an airline stewardess, although she had never been on a plane. After doing some tutoring through a high school class, she quickly became "grounded" in early childhood education.
Cheryl has been married to her wonderful husband, Max, for 38 years. They have one daughter, Natalie, who, along with her husband, have provided Cheryl and Max with three beautiful grandchildren.
